Today started the build up of The Company of Humour project at Lokaal 01 in Breda. It's all based upon my artistic research project that i am doing about humour in art. There will be a few propositions of expo's on the theme, some lectures, some texts, some collaborations with students, and also an edition will be made with residues and props of some parts of the whole project.

The first opening is at the 23th of September with work by Richard Artschwager, Orla Barry, Fred Bervoets, Guillaume Bijl, Jacques Charlier, Jimmie Durham, Michel François, Martin Kippenberger and Walter Swennen.

This expo will be intervened, attacked and turned around by Hans Theys, Piet Dirkx, Johan Pas, Bart Van Dijck and myself in the 3 months after the first opening, with public moments on 7/10 - 21/10 - 18/11 and 02/12.

And there is a great expo by our Kempic artist Jef Geys at the Muhka. Go there and discover a rich world of artistic interpretations of things that at the first sight have no poetry at all. One of the best Muhka shows in a very long time!
