Haiti, Tahiti or Hawaii

some words for the Bissy Bunders

by Lieven Segers

it was on an evening like this

that the dark-tailed deer spoke to them

about the possibility that they were all natural born time travellers

since

the class walked around with a pocketsize circus in their hand

making people laugh on demand

waiting

waiting

waiting

waiting

waiting

waiting

waiting

waiting

waiting

waiting

waiting

waiting

for being able to borrow some hours

so no timepiece would look innocent again

they pretended never to surrender nor to quit

‘cause they knew the end would look like a tit

and

the perfect forced marriage

between their spring salad and their fall frog spit

was their everlasting fit

POM POM POM

the band travelled aaaaaalong

in het heiligdom romtontom

where the devil came in

without knocking

where they never really recognise the problem

‘cause they were leaving

every evening

without believing that it turned their heads down

like a black trombone

very monotome

and they kept on riding the smile

(with their heads down)

and with beers in the eyes

like wise guy piles

the only thing that could wake them up

were these specific stinky feet

lots of gards came before

they gave the chosen body only a monologue

lots of flowers

came in with the devil through that door

but no one so strong

as the smell that came by feet

it walked slowly

unknown holy

with ravioli

and guacamole

the only task in this conceptual confusion

to describe yourself in three words

i am here

and constantly standby

in

Haiti, Tahiti or Hawaii
